Club Sanctioned Useage
There are various times in the schedule when club sanctioned play takes priority over casual play. Court(s) must be surrendered for any Club authorized activities such as league play, tournaments, and lessons with a NTC Executive approved pro. Please consult the NTC calendar for details.
Should sanctioned play not require all of the courts, then those casual players who have played the longest must surrender their court, then the next longest, and so on until the necessary number of courts for the sanctioned activity are surrendered.
Examples:
Should sanctioned play not require all of the courts, then those casual players who have played the longest must surrender their court, then the next longest, and so on until the necessary number of courts for the sanctioned activity are surrendered.
Examples:
- Should all 4 courts be in use and club play requires 4 courts, all courts must be surrendered.
- Should all 4 courts be in use and club play requires only 3 courts, then the last court to arrive can continue to play. However, they may be asked to move to another court so as to allow the club play to have three courts beside each other. Those courts that surrendered their court can wait to use the open casual play court and the 30 minute timer rules apply. The first court asked to leave would then be first in line. Once the 30 minutes has elapsed, they would then gain access to the casual play court. The 30 minute clock would then start for the second team that was asked to leave and so on.
- Should our club pro require court 4 and all 4 courts are full, the court who has been playing the longest must surrender their court. If they were not on court 4, then those on court 4 will move to the open court so as to allow the pro to use court 4. The movement from court 4 to the open court does not reset their seniority with respect to the 30 minute time clock rule for those waiting to play. Those who were asked to surrender their court can choose to wait the 30 minutes and then bump the next longest playing court.
- Should our club pro require court 4 and it is occupied, but other courts are available, those on court 4 will be required to move to an open court. The move to the other court does not reset the seniority of their time of play with respect to the 30 minute waiting rule should others wish to play on courts open to casual play.
